Medication Management
At Zion Mind Health & Wellness, medication is never “one size fits all.”
I use medications carefully and thoughtfully to support your overall mental health, not to change who you are.
My goal is to help you understand your options, make informed choices, and feel supported every step of the way. If indicated I combine evidence-based medications with a warm, judgment-free approach so you can feel more like yourself again.
What to Expect From Medication Management
My goal is to have you to feel informed, involved, and safe. Here’s how the process usually works:
-
Comprehensive Evaluation
-
We review your symptoms, medical and mental health history, past treatments, and current medications or supplements.
-
We ask about your lifestyle, stressors, and what “feeling better” looks like for you.
-
-
Shared Decision-Making
-
We talk through all options: medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a mix.
-
You can ask questions, share concerns, and take your time. Nothing is started without your consent.
-
-
Starting or Adjusting Medication
-
If we agree medication may help, we usually start at a low dose and increase slowly if needed.
-
If you are already on medication, we may adjust the dose or consider safer or more effective options.
-
-
Monitoring and Follow-Up
-
We check in regularly to see how you’re feeling, what’s improving, and what side effects (if any) you notice.
-
We make changes together based on your feedback and clinical guidelines.
-
-
Collaboration With Your Other Providers
-
With your permission, we can coordinate with your therapist, primary care provider, or other specialists.
-
This helps keep your care connected and consistent.
-
-
Long-Term Planning
-
We revisit your plan over time. Some people stay on medication longer; others taper off when it’s safe.
-
Our focus is always on your safety, your goals, and your quality of life.
